Points of Biomet 3i Certain® internal hex UCLA abutment:

UCLA abutments (cast on) are made of a machined gold implant/abutment interface and a plastic cylinder processed to the gold interface. Engaging (hexed, Fig.11, left) and non engaging (non hexed, Fig.11, right) versions are offered for all four implant platform diameters. Non indexed UCLA's are packaged with a special final screw. Indexed UCLA abutments require the purchase of the final screw in addition to the abutment.
