    This product is part of the Nobel Biocare Active Replacement Parts product assortment, which are prosthetic components and instruments needed to maintain reconstructions performed with older products.

    The Healing Abutment is a temporary abutment which allows for the formation of a soft tissue collar around the implant.

    Healing abutments are produced in two collar heights of 3mm (Fig.1, top row) and 5mm (Fig.1, bottom row) for both platform diameters. Abutments are not color coded for platform identification. The abutments are machined as a mono block and incorporate the screw and abutment in to a singular unit. A Unigrip™ driver is utilized to service the healing abutments. NP (3.5mm) healing abutments are offered in two emergence profile diameters of 3.6 and 5.0mm. RP/WP (4.3/4.9mm) abutments are produced in three emergence profiles (Fig.1) of 3.6, 5.0 and 6.0mm.

    A specialized healing abutment, only to be used if the final restoration will be a screw retained bridge is offered for both platform interfaces. These abutments cover the small platform at the top of each implant. NP bridge healing abutments (Fig.2, left) are machined with a emergence profile of 3.5mm and a collar height of 5.0mm. RP/WP bridge healing abutments (Fig.2, right) are also manufactured with a 5.0mm collar height and a 3.9mm emergence profile diameter.
